EU Project Consulting
With EU accession for ten new countries now confirmed for May 1st 2004, access to union funding for economic and social development in the CEE region is likely to increase. However, our research with SMEs indicates that local companies and other public organisations are often confused as to how to locate the best possible funding options for different projects. The process of acquiring EU funding also tends to be very complex and competitive.
All EU programmes only accept project proposals which meet strict criteria and which are likely to be successful in the longer term when funding ends. With this in mind, TransCulture is launching consulting services, specifically to help local and international organisations to try to secure EU funding for projects:
Partner searching - Very often, Western European organisations are unfamiliar with the CEE region and experience problems with locating local partners which require a Europe-wide mix of partners. TransCulture can help locate local partners, by making preliminary contacts and setting up meetings.
Selection of funding programmes - The funding options offered by the EU are often seen as complex. By helping you be more specific in defining your project aim, we can then direct you to the most appropriate source of funding.
Proposal Submission - All project proposals, whether submitted locally, or directly to Brussels, must be written in English, German or French. Local organisations often experience difficulty in this; as a result many proposals are rejected. While not being able to guarantee your proposal will finally be accepted, we can boost its chances of success by guiding you through the steps of completing the application form. For this purpose, we are establishing a database of experts in different industrial sectors to assist as proposal submission consultants.
Ongoing Project Administration - When a proposal is finally accepted and a project comes to life, it is crucial that strict rules are followed. Projects are inspected for quality by external auditors at regular intervals. The worst result is that EU funds can be recalled and the project cancelled. We can help you during this process by regularly ensuring administrative guidelines are complied with.
